Quoted: "Flamin' Hot Cheetos are a wildly popular snack that literally leaves its indulgers red-handed. And now several schools in California, New Mexico and Illinois have banned the high-fat, high-salt and possibly addictive treat. Some schools in Pasadena, Calif. have even said that if a parent packs the snack in their child's lunch, the spicy Cheetos will still be confiscated, KTLA reports. The main reason cited by these schools for the ban is a lack of nutritional value. One snack-size bag contains 26 grams of fat and a quarter of the amount of sodium recommended for an entire day. And new research suggests that "hyperpalatable foods"--salty, fatty or sweet foods--can trigger brain responses similar to those created seen in individuals addicted to drugs or alcohol, the Chicago Tribune reports." Quoted: While I hate seeing things banned, I cannot fathom why parents feed their kids crap? Do I allow my kids to have chips, yes, but more often than not I buy baked chips. What kinda of place needs to BAN a certain type of chip?? They allow sodas on campus? Fuck em. They allow lunch meat with sodium preservatives? Fuck em They allow white "enriched" bread? Fuck em They allow cocoa or other products that have 'cellulose' added to them? Fuck em Ketchup is a vegetable serving? Fuck em |

People think I'm joking when I say the collectivists are trying to outlaw fun

Seriously, I fail to understand why you would buy something that tastes like shit and isn't really any better for you. |

I used to know a mechanic who had a shop on the edge of a residential area...kids would sometimes bring their bicycles by for air in the tires, etc. Kids seem to like places like this...but they wear out their welcome fast.
He kept a big Sam's Club box of individual lunch size bags of Cheetos on top of the refrigerator that was packed with Mountain Dew soda pop. Unwanted kids got a bag of Cheetos and a bottle of Mountain Dew. Now, being a parent...stop and think about your little angel coming home after school hopped up on Mountain Dew with damp little orange stained fingers all over everything. Bouncing off the walls on a sugar and caffiene high and won't eat their dinner. The kiddy traffic thinned out. Lots of kids said, "my mommy told me not to go over there anymore..." |

On my wayn to work in the mornings I stop at the stop n rob to get the paper and bs with the girl there, and I always see the same 3, gonna say jr high age, kids buying a monster and hot cheetoes.
Just want I want in my class as a teacher: kids hopped up on monster and cheetoes. |

Shit, around South Texas, there is a certain demographic that thinks nothing of feeding their offspring cheetos and soda for breakfast.
You couldn't make this stuff up if you tried. |

LOL @ the Liberal drone who said,
"Reasonable" and "encourage healthier children". Clearly doesn't understand the difference between "encouragement" and "mandate." They are totally wrapped around that word "reasonable" to justify everything. Sometimes I really wish this country allowed political segregation. Right on the East and Left on the West -- or vice versa. |

The government getting involved in what people eat is what has caused obesity, diabetes, etc., to spread like wildfire. I just wrote a blog post about that earlier today:

Sort of like real doughnuts vs crispy cream air pockets. |

Quoted: Some young entrepreneur at the school will supply them and make bank. Another kid will too eventually, and that will be the beginning of the cheeto wars. Many lives and freedoms will be lost. ![]() |
