Oh yes. Planning to be up all night.

Can hardly sleep tonight.
See the same people each election, at the open of the voting stations.

Hoping for a dem hemorrhage in Congress, from anti-Kerry's.

In 1988, the biased media had George H. and Dukakis neck-and-neck, for months before election night. Landslide 426-111.

Here are other distortions:
http://www.mediaresearch.org/

The ten worst distortions:
1. Dan Rather's Forgery Fiasco
2. Ignoring, then Attacking, the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth
3. Pounding the Bush National Guard Story
4. Spinning a Good Economy into Bad News
5. The Networks' Outrageous Convention Double-Standard
6. Swooning Over Edwards' Image, Ignoring His Liberalism
7. CBS's Byron Pitts Promotional Kerry Coverage
8. CBS Promotes Fears of a New Military Draft
9. Misrepresenting the 9/11 Commission on Iraq/al-Qaeda Links
10. Equating New Terrorism Warning to LBJ's "Gulf of Tonkin"

For a rundown of each with examples, along with RealPlayer
videos to illustrate many of them, go to:

Now, in roughly chronological order, the headlines over the
TimesWatch assessments of the dubious roll call of the 10 worst
distortions by the New York Times from Campaign 2004:

1) An Ominous Beginning
2) Misrepresenting the 9/11 Report
3) Suggesting Political Motivation Behind Terror Warnings
4) Same Campaign Tactic, Two Different Takes
5) A Double Standard on Acceptance Speeches
6) Conspiracy Theorizing on Bush's Debate "Bulge"
7) Ron Suskind on Bush's "Intolerance of Doubt"
8) Tarring "Unsubstantiated" Swift Boats Veterans, Plugging False
Bush "AWOL" Smear
9) A Slanted Voter Guide
10) "Looted Iraqi Explosives" Scoop: Bombshell or Politically
Motivated Dud?

Thinking about going to the range that day. Either for celebration or stress relief.

Wednesdays are always very light days at my shop, unless there's a trial. I go to church at noon, then I usually catch up on research, writing, or paperwork; goof on the internet; fish; nap; or shoot all afternoon. (Yes, I know, I'm having a very nice life, thanks be to God.) This Wednesday should be the same. It only remains to be seen whether the subtext involves prayers of thanksgiving or fearful prayers for the welfare of the country.

Yup... I took the third off, but not because I anticipate any civil unrest.

I plan on being up all night waiting for GWB to be declared the winner!

Stress relief -- Garand

I also took wednesday off as paid day/holiday because our company has a dinner for those with 25 or more years employment. I just found out that I have a two hour meeting that morning though. Bummer.
I'm also off tuesday and will be glued to the news most of the evening.
Good luck Bush and hope you win by a landslide!!!!!
