William Sherman's only mistake in my book was not starting in El Paso. Kill'em all.

Kill em all? Anyone in particular, or just all Southerners? Feel free to come on over to Georgia and try it yourself, starting with me. Email me if you want directions.

There was no glory in this march, only burnt  farms and homeless families.  We should learn from history and not dwell on it.  Was this action necessary, I don't know.  I do know from the limited reading that I have done, on the subject, that civilians paid the price.  It is the age old question, of do the ends  justifying the means ??

I pray that a confict is never again fought on home soil.

Hope hell!! We had better ot ever have another war on our own soil. Let Sherman's march be a lesson to the likes of any rebels. I tip my hat to the man.
