(For those that hate Christians and God, please do not post in this thread.) I love God's Word. I love to hear folk's favorite Scripture. Here's one of mine: Psalm 119:89 For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. What is yours? |

For everything there is a season, And a time for every matter under heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; A time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; A time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; A time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to throw away stones, And a time to gather stones together; A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing; A time to seek, and a time to lose; A time to keep, and a time to throw away; A time to tear, and a time to sew; A time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate, A time for war, and a time for peace. --Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8 |

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me. Thou preparest a table for me in the presence of mine enemies; Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: And I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. -23rd Psalm |
I bet it has a "special place" in their's as well. |

Genesis 16:4 11 The angel of the LORD also said to her: "You are now with child and you will have a son. You shall name him Ishmael, for the LORD has heard of your misery. 12 And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren. |
Don't know if it counts as scripture or not....

| St. Matthew 12:28 Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens and I will give you rest. :29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle, and you will not find rest for your souls. :30 For my yoke fits perfectly, and the burden I give you is light." [New Living Translation] |

| John 8:3 - 11 "And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with [his] finger wrote on the ground, [as though he heard them not]. So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. And they which heard [it], being convicted by [their own] conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, [even] unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more." |

My very favorite Scripture of ALL TIME: Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. John 14:1-3 That says it all! II Thessalonians 2 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. If someone dosen't understand that Satan will come before Christ's return and fool the world into believing he is God they will probably end up worshiping him. It is probably the most important scripture in bible the for our time. |
Fixed it for ya. |

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. Love does not demand its own way. Love is not irratable, and it keeps no record of when it has been wronged. It is never glad about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. Corinthians 13:4-7 [NLT] |
I'm waiting also. I hope He comes tonight. |
I LOVE THAT ONE! I wanted to say that one in my post but couldn't remember the chapter/verse #. Thanks. |

1 Thessalonians 2: 4. Our purpose is to please God. He is the one who examines the motives of our hearts. James 1:2 ...whenever trouble comes you way, let it be an opportunity for joy. :3 For when faith is tested, you endurance has a chance fot grow. :4 So let it grow, for when you endurance is fully developed, you will be strong in character and ready for anything. |
| He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be |

Matthew 6:9-13 [From NRSV which is the bible I use. The do not make RSV anymore, but that is the orginal one that I used] Our Father, in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not bring us to the time of trial, but rescue us from the evil one. - Now my church says it as follows: Our Father, who art in heavan, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heavan. Give us this our daily bread. And forgive us our depts, as we forget our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. |
