True story that I always thought was interesting.
The Duran Duran songs "Tel Aviv" and " The Chauffeur " were originally poems written by Simon LeBon while he was employed at Kibbutz Gvulot. "The Chauffeur " was written while he was watching his girlfriend and one of her friends, both IDF military soldiers, plow a field in on a tractor. They finished their job and were playing around on the thing driving it back and forth stirring up dust. That's where a lot of the lyrics came from, and then, in his words, " it took a different turn when they got playful. Being a young male, thoughts went from, " oh ,how beautiful a sunset and a scene with the birds and the colors etc", to thoughts of " my girlfriend and her friend going from playful to lustful and erotic." No freeloading. This one does it for me.

Have a friend who married a Jewish guy who's taken several trips to Israel. When I asked him how it was over there he said it's pretty awesome, but you soon realize you stand out as the out of shape pasty American. He explained that 90% of the people there, especially 30s and under were all tan, ripped, and in shape. He said that this is due to the mandatory military service requirement. He said the beaches were full of wall to wall hotties.

The Israelis are very good at propaganda. The reality is that their women are no more or less attractive than those of many other countries. The Russian military women in the recent 70th anniversary of V-E day parade in Moscow would take second place to no one.

I was surprised to see several soldiers with long, bright red hair. Thought it was funny when I went into the liaisons office and she had hello kitty stuff up on the walls. She was good looking but seemed to always be in a bad mood.
