Well to be honest he can enjoy a month or two of doing absolutely nothing before he needs to start looking for a new job. Man, that sounds pretty nice actually. Congrats! |
|
Well, there's a lot of people right now that got didn't get out that easy... glad that you showed up to work and didn't find a locked door. In this economy, though... I wouldn't spend too much time sitting around without lining up the next job. What field are you in? |
|
Sorry to hear you lost your job. Now's your chance to go AirTrek! |
Ahh, a man after my own heart. I'll have a wee nip this evening in your honor. It's raining, so I probably wont' go out on the patio to light up a God bless you as you search for a new job. ![]() |

We had a company here get nailed by the hurricane, so they had to close their building and contract the work out... The lady across the street got her pay and medical for a year, she was pulling down over $130k a year |
Man o man, you really do give dumb fucks a bad name. AMD has singlehandedly done more for the PC chip than anyone. If it weren't for AMD (and cyrix, et al), we'd all still be using pentiums at 100 mhz, and still paying $400 bucks a pop. I have never bought an intel cpu, and hope I can buy amd for the rest of my life. (Hoping it's a good long time) TXL |
+1 |
Intel is not laying off a large percent of their work force though are they. I have AMD in my machines, but it was built for gaming. The latest Intel chips are much better. Competition was good for us, but it looks like in the long run AMD is lossing. |
Amen to that, really not a fan of Intel for so many reasons. Flyingrhino |
well, both on top of but you can't start collecting til after your severance runs out you should file now though, because it takes FOREVER to get it they'll tell you all this when you file. |
Either way, I'm supporting an American company, right? |
heheh alot of intel chips are made in ![]() (I think it's where they make their mobile chips, not computer ones...) ETA:
ETA2: interesting article: seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/businesstechnology/2003658346_intelisrael09.html |
Intel's good stuff is not made in Israel. They are just finishing a new fab there. Intel is building a fab in China also. Oh yea I prefer AMD also. |
High tech. I was in technical marketing. |
