The last dog I had, 20+ yrs ago, I found in the backyard in her favorite hollow.

I wrapped her up in her favorite blanket, dug a hole between two very large lillac bushes - another favorite spot - layed her in and covered her over. Didn't really speak any words over her, but floods of memories were washing over me.

So, I buried her very respectfully. Like she was family. Because...well....she was.

I don't know if some people would just throw a deceased pet into the trash dumpster or not. But suspect it happens....often.

How those people you need to feel sorry for.
