I wrote a 50 page economic thesis on the European Union, and those last two words sums it up nicely! The EU is not in very good economic or political health. Dont expect it to be around forever. The lofty goals of 'One Europe' will never happen. Europe will not fully integrate. I see the EU either 1. scaling back to a simple free trade area like NAFTA and leaving all of this political integration crap behind or 2. Member nations get so alienated from one another that the union breaks up. |

CFR's Plan to Integrate the U.S., Mexico and Canada. www.eagleforum.org/column/2005/july05/05-07-13.html "The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) has just let the cat out of the bag about what's really behind our trade agreements and security partnerships with the other North American countries. A 59-page CFR document spells out a five-year plan for the "establishment by 2010 of a North American economic and security community" with a common "outer security perimeter."

From 10/29/05: So I'm listening to this financial guy on the radio this afternoon and he's talking about the "Amero".He says it will be one currency for US,Canada, and Mexico-said it would be like the Euro (hence the catchy name,I guess). I didn't catch his name (actually,I can't remember it),but he was supposedly some big financial guru. What he was saying was very beleivable. He also said they are working on doing a single currency form for the far east.Eventually,he said we will all use the same currency. He stated that this has been in the works since the 30's,but hasn't really gained ground until recently.Apparently,North America is next and he said it should go smoother than with the Euro because they have the majority of the bugs worked out. This guy was saying how we are one big community and with the global economy we need to streamline the monetary systems. We need to work toward having only one currency. I've heard talk before from other places of a North America without borders (yeah, that's already here!) Has anyone else heard of this?Thoughts?Comments? The thing I do not like,is that they will have to devalue our money to let Mexico and Canada "catch up",right?I'm not much into finance-I have some money in real estate, stocks, and silver (gold next).I also have a lot of cash saved up.It makes me wonder how this would work. tinfoil!tinfoil!blah, blah, blah. It's coming and there is nothing we can do to stop it. |
thanks for the link.I notice that was from 2005 as well. From the link: The CFR document calls for allowing Mexican trucks "unlimited access" to the United States, including the hauling of local loads between U.S. cities. The CFR document calls for adopting a "tested once" principle for pharmaceuticals, by which a product tested in Mexico will automatically be considered to have met U.S. standards. I remember reading something in a trade magazine not too long ago about the Mexican trucks being allowed in. Guess I need more tinfoil. |
With all due respect, you are kidding, right?Sure, there are some of us that feel that way,but there are a heluva lot more that would go along with it and welcome it with open arms.I admire your optimism. I really can't see anything getting a good amount of the population to fight. They don't even fight at the ballot box and you think they will open the cartridge box? And like the FBI post, any of us that fight will be labeled child molesters and hunted down to the delight of the public.Hell,we are so PC anymore it is practically a hate crime to talk bad about Mexicans. |

I've been reading about shit like this for a long time, at least since the mid-80s. While some of the NWO/Tinfoil Hat-types are easy to laugh off, The New American, as well as the JBS, has been at the forefront of spreading correct information about a lot of stuff - including GHWB, Clinton and JWB. There will need to be a change in the mindset of the American citizen if America is to remain a country and not a footnote in a history book in 100 years. Current Issue of The New American ![]() |
I don't know what Canadian gun laws are, but in Mexico it is legal to own handguns up to .38 Special in a revolver, or .380 ACP in a pistol. Anything larger is considered illegal as the larger calibers are reserved only for military and law enforcement - per the Mexican Constitution. Don't get caught in Mexico with a 9mm or 40S&W - you'll spend at least 4 years in jail, and/or spend thousands of dollars in 'honoria' to resolve your legal woes! |

I actually came to this same conclusion a little while ago and posted the exact same idea about a few weeks ago. First of all it is not a Bush thing as the open boarder was supported by 8 years of Clinton along with NAFTA which was opposed heavily by the Trade Unions. I think we have long term planners and number crunchers that have calculated that the USA cannot survive as it currently is, in this new world of a China Superpower, Terrorist Nukes and Islamic indoctrination of the poor and uneducated non Arab countries. They caculate that the only way the USA type freedom can survive is to expand our land mass and population so that we can compete directly with Russia and China as they grow into superpower status. We can spread democracy around the world but those countries can be switched by electing someone who then switches back to the old ways. The only true way is by taking control of land mass and population. We cannot invade so this is our only option. We already subsidize Mexico and Canada with our protection. On the other side what if we build a wall and make fortress USA? Islamic and Communist regimes flourish in poorer countries fuelled by anti Americanism jealousy. Mexico will be on their front lines to take over. Having all those riches across the fence will help to stir up the hatred. Canada being totally protected by us will be completely clueless until it is too late. I have to say these ideas came to me while working the boarder about 10 years ago. At that time I felt very angry and upset but now looking at how the world is changing I would rather have the Mexicans and the Canadians standing with me in support of our mutual freedoms (and Mexicans new found freedoms) than having them aid in those who wish to destroy us. Random thoughts froma pawn with a pawn's eye view. |

my humble understanding is do not get caught with a military round in mexico - be it 9mm, 223, 308, etc... We had a 1 world currency - it was called the US Dollar. Unfortuntetly the world appears to be headed back to the barter system, where the currency is oil (and possibly to a limited extent wheet and corn) |
We might hold steady but our conservitive party has been hijacked. The rich givers in the Rep. party support the cheap immigrant labour. This fits right in with that. |

I'd like to think this is the ranting of guys wearing tinfoil turbans. Sure hope that's all that it is. But, I clearly saw in my last few years of teaching that the rights of illegal immigrants to disrupt the classroom and stop the learning process...far outweightd the rights of American citizen students and an American citizen teacher to have a calm and quiet environment where learning could take place. It happened in my classroom every day. Illegal aliens are a mascot group of the low IQ left. American citizens are a target group to the lunatic fringe left. That is just how it has been for more than a decade, since the late 60's actually. |
Great magazine. Just renewed... |

I wouldn't mind taking over Canda and Mexico, as long we're in charge! We don't need to adopt the ways of kooky Canadians and backwards Mexicans. While we are it, let's take over Russia! ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=466884 |
Most mysterious indeed! I've talked about these events for years, and everybody thought I was insane. Now everybody is telling me like I never told them. Fuck'em and their retarded asses. Most of them are members of my immediate family. |

North American Union to Replace USA? My first question is why? Who would benefit from this? Who profits from this? I don’t think Quebec would go along with this they want to break from Canada because they are scared of losing their culture. There is already a free trade zone between the 3 countries. No corporation is going to benefit from this. What would the Republicans and Democrats get from this? More votes? No way a third party with a Mexican power base would rise. Would Mexican or Canadian politicians gain from this? No they lose their power and control over their regions, piss off their power base leaving the way open for some nationalistic party to take over the local governments. There is no benefit to any one from this, there is no profit for any one from this, there is no reason for any one to support this. Sorry my tin foil may be a little lose but this can’t be true. I don’t see how any one in the US, Canada, or Mexico would befit from this. |

Where's your tinfoil hat son? This is literally impossible. The Canadians are too proud of their health care system to share it, the Mexicans would overrun and kill it and the Canucks are also too afraid of American firepower "flooding its borders" with the gangs the NY is plagued with. This story is so fucking full of tinfoil that the writer should be sat in a padded room for observation for a week or two. |
You left out Canada in the currency naming. Shouldn't it be the Camero? M4-AK |
While I wish the USA could remain forever close to what it is. It is obvious that some high level thinkers believe that this impossible. They are obviously convincing enough in their arguments to allow an almost open border policy through full Democratic and Republican control. Emotions and love of country aside and as a thought process exercise, there is a benefit to all parties. -Easily defendable territory. -Single communication system, commerce, currency and federal law. -Larger Army, Navy, Air Force and others. -Greater land mass for weathering terrorist nuke strike. - If govt was based upon our system then the Capitol building would not be big enough which would prompt congressmen to remain in their own states instead of going to Washington DC. This would allow us to build a secure network and have congressmen discuss and vote on issues remotely. This may help to fix the DC mind set. Ok so the Canadians have odd choices for government over the last 20 years. I think that is their way of showing their independence from the USA. Personally every Canadian I have met could teach the average American something about manners. They also create some of the best thinkers over there (who have to move here to have their ideas flourish). Now the Mexicans are harder for people to handle and it took me a number of years to get to the point I am. I think it comes down to the language barrier. However the Mexicans are very hard working, proud, religious people who (unlike the general Black population who always vote Democratic) can switch from political parties without losing their identity. Yes most Mexicans will vote leftist but their motivation lies in the current work they do. As they move up to middle class jobs their voting patterns change like the rest. The issue with Mexico is there in no Middle Class to speak of. All we ever see in the working class example of Mexico. My cousin married a member of a wealthy Mexican family and I can tell you they are about as different as you can get. Integration of the Mexicans would have been impossible 20 years ago, but now the lines have been successfully blurred that even without the border markers it is hard to tell where the USA ends and Mexico begins. Anyway the biggest thing missing is a George Washington and others like the founders who can pull together a solid constitution with freedoms, checks and balances all in a short concise document and not something as confusing as the EU manifest they put together. Something to think about. |
