Those aren't robberies; they are B/Es.... huge difference. Anyways to answer your question we have people try this from time to time.

When it comes to actual FFL robbiers, those usually happen at the pawn shops

When I lived near Cookeville TN, there was a robbery at the old Bend of the River gun shop. The owner was killed and a bunch of guns stolen. I believe it happened around '83

In Smyrna TN a guy tried to rob Volunteer Arms around '93 or so. The clerk nailed the would be thief.
