When i read the story of that pedophile from fl i almost blacked out from pure rage. This POS had been sodomizing boys in the school for months. Its hard to express the the black rage and revenge that I would do to this pervert if I had him under the knive but it would involve multiple amputations and cauterization.

First thing they told me in our class about where NOT TO CARRY in Virginia: PUBLIC SCHOOL PROPERTY. What I don't like is that anyone can drop a dime on someone and the cops run over and search his car?????? How EXACTLY do they secure THAT warrant??? Why EXACTLY do they secure that warrant? If you are licensed to carry a concealed weapon, there shouldn't be an exemption from carrying it on public school property. In fact, recent history has showed us that it may be one of the EXACT places you need it most. |
After the weapon is found by the dubious search he is OBVIOUSLY violating the state law. There isn't much to argue for on that account. However, I would love to see them get involved about what grounds a search warrant was requested and granted....... It really makes my skin crawl that someone can dime you out and they secure a warrant based on ONE call...... |

Before I retired, I investigated sex abuse of children. What is really scarry is that once an abuser is discovered, on an average they have already abused hundreds perhaps. Most of the victims will remain silent for a lifetime, so it is very difficult to get a real accurate asessment of the problem. |
IIRC i got something from VCDL saying that the bill passed and that starting July 1, it will be legal for a CCW holder to carry on school property but it has to stay in the car and cannot be seen. |
That sounds familiar. Hmmm... what does the VCDL web site say? -LS |
Ya'll need to change that. We have a better rule in Texas allowing you to keep the gun in the car. |

If I am reading this correctly, if it was unloaded, he would have been fine! http://leg1.state.va.us/cgi-bin/legp504.exe?000+cod+18.2-308.1 "The exemptions set out in § 18.2-308 shall apply, mutatis mutandis, to the provisions of this section. The provisions of this section shall not apply to (i) persons who possess such weapon or weapons as a part of the school's curriculum or activities, (ii) a person possessing a knife customarily used for food preparation or service and using it for such purpose, (iii) persons who possess such weapon or weapons as a part of any program sponsored or facilitated by either the school or any organization authorized by the school to conduct its programs either on or off the school premises, (iv) any law-enforcement officer, (v) any person who possesses a knife or blade which he uses customarily in his trade, or (vi) a person who possesses an unloaded firearm that is in a closed container, or a knife having a metal blade, in or upon a motor vehicle, or an unloaded shotgun or rifle in a firearms rack in or upon a motor vehicle. For the purposes of this paragraph, "weapon" includes a knife having a metal blade of three inches or longer and "closed container" includes a locked vehicle trunk." Is that correct? -LS |

FYI no warrant was need to search his vehicle: Police said the handgun was found about 10 a.m. Monday after school officials received a tip that it was in Fudd's car. Katinsky said school officials questioned Fudd, who told them he had a gun in the car. School officials then searched the car with Fudd's consent and removed the gun, Katinsky said. She said school officials later handed the weapon over to the school resource officer, who had been in court when the tip came in. From the Washington Post |
| I am a public school teacher with a permit to carry, and I never ever ever have a firearm on school property; not in my car or on my person. I should be able to; if someone were to attack our school there is nothing that we can do to protect ourselves. However, you would think that a teacher would know better. I mean, I am surrounded by tree-hugging liberal hippie communists. And even though I wouldn't be in violation of the law with a loaded gun in my car, they'd still fire me in two seconds for violating my employers policies. |
I'm not doing anything wrong and don't have anything to hide either... but my answer is "NO". As long as it's a question and the asker can't force their way in anyway, my answer will always be "NO". Even if they can I'll still say no, they are going to have use the process if they want in. |
