Converse hi-tops or vans / parachute pants / pick your favorite heavy metal band t-shirt or jersey (mine was Iron Maiden, Motorhead or Judas Priest).  I would pay big bucks to track that gear down and wear that into the office tomorrow.

Pegged bleach- and paint-spattered Levis with checkered suspenders hanging down and knees torn out, old GI steel toed safety boots, sleeveless English Beat or X tee shirt.

I almost forgot about my favorite dance outfit...

Black pants with zippers everywhere, red tuxedo shirt, black micro-sized bowtie, and a pair of transparent red jellies.  These shoes were like straight of of the "Wizard of Oz"!

My hair was also a lot longer then, but braided and purple!

* I also spent a lot of time naked!  I am very into the wilderness scene, and nakedness goes right along with it.  It is nothing to be out inb the middle of nowhere, with a ton of others around, and be nude...  no big deal!

Anything from Chess King/Merry Go Round! [:D]

I had the $80 Chess King parachute pants with matching $40 cotton crew neck shirt with parachute pants section riveted to the side in a triangle patter covering the left shoulder.  It was a toss up between Kepa or Pony high top sneakers or my Converse knee-highs in turquoise/yellow.  Oh, and don't forget the "Rising Sun" headband!

BTW, I was 10 in 1986.  I blame the dressing like a retard on my mom! [}:D]

God Bless Texas

My college years were the late 60's and early '70's.  Clothing choices were much easier.   Jeans and a t-shirt or cut-offs and a t-shirt.

I'll go hide now. [8)]

Best clothes I had in the '80s? Easy.

Surplus, brand-new West German army tank driver's overalls, with the little flags on the shoulders. Looked really cool and it saved having to wash lots of extra shirts and jeans in time for morning classes. Just zip my way into the "Kombi-Anzug" and away I went! I even remember playing in rock and R 'n' B bands on stage wearing it.

"Bundeswear" is ubiquitous nowadays, but back then, ca. 1986, it was hard to find in good shape- this one was so new, and in such good shape, it even has the built-in holster inside, and lotsa pockets, everywhere. I still find money in the odd pocket or two when I move it around in the closet. :^)

Of course, the left wing professors I had to deal with looked askance at it, but, fack 'em.

Now that I've dumped about fifty pounds, maybe I might be able to fit back into it again....

I used to think Jeff Spicoli was the shit, so I dressed like him.  I had like 20 pairs each of Chuck Taylors and Vans, and would wear them in mismatched pairs.  Anything from Chess King, and Members only jackets!

I've dressed the same exact way since the mid 1970's: Broken in jeans and t-shirts. The shirts range from Metal bands to drag racing. Oh, and the obligatory Harley Davidson shirts (wearing one of those right now...) I've quit jobs because I couldn't deal with the dress codes. F*ck Dockers.
You old disco guys are funny!

Levis, Black cotton T-shirt, boots, Varsity jacket(I was in high school).

Never was one to follow fashion trends, and I'm still not. I have a closet full of Levis, Dockers, Gap T-shirts, and polo/golf shirts, and flannels.

I did score a Hockey jersey at the Salvation Army today for $5.00. Same jersey sells for $80.00 at the mall.

Ah yes, let's see; acid washed Levi 506 jeans (man those things were tight, but the heavy metal chicks dug 'em.)  Paisley shirts, snake skin boots, two earrings in my left ear (only homo's had 'em in their right.) and of course my black leather biker jacket........oh almost forgot, I had a blond mane of hair down to my ass.  The heavy metal chicks LOVED my hair.  I was the consumate Sebastian Bach pretty boy playin' my Dokken, Ratt, Accept, Judas Priest, et al.

All that primpin' was a pain and seems ridiculous now, but it was all about the P!!!
