Why the [i]foxtrot[/i] is this phrase being blasted from my speakers everytime I change formum areas?
Short of killing all sound how do I eliminate this totally annoying "feature?"

It's because you have mail.
Click on the last button on the right in the row with the following buttons.
[userid] [log out] [profile] [help] [chat] [im mail:none]
If I'm right your last button will say something other than [im amil:none]

Lol. Your welcome.
I had mail once and went through the same frustration trying to figure it out, so when I say your post, I had to smile remembering my own experience.
Hope it was good.
