| Anyone deployed or thinking about deploying XenClient for mobile users? I'm wanting to play around with it in my lab, but wants some impressions first. |

What? Am I trying to sell it to you? Jesus. Quoted:

We have a XenApp farm. We may look at doing some VDI but no interest in a XenClient at this time. What? Am I trying to sell it to you? Jesus. Are you fucking kidding me? Just answering your question.

Anyone deployed or thinking about deploying XenClient for mobile users? To sort of develop the topic, what is the motivation behind looking into VDI? |

To sort of develop the topic, what is the motivation behind looking into VDI? We have users that use terminal servers to access our hosting environment. They have access to XenApp but a lot of them prefer to log in to the terminal server and use a desktop. Looking to replace TS with VDI and allow them all to have individual desktops. |

If it's RDS why not use your existing CALs and try out RDS VDI? You wouldn't have to change much about your current config. Just curious. |

Recommend checking out Symantec's Mobility Suite... http://www.symantec.com/mobility/ Great products for total managed mobility: 1. MDM 2. MAM 3. Mobile Security Can he had as a suite or a-la-carte. When I say mobile users, I mean laptops that go off site and don't have internet while working in the field. The customer wants VDI but with the ability to work offline, XenClient is the only thing I've found that can do that. |
Just answering your question.
