I'm having a hard time making up my mind or to put it another way I need help justifying a decision!

I currently own a SIG 220, SIG 239 and 1911. Several months ago I had to sell my 226 and a number of rifles including a Argie FAL to come up with a little extra cash to put some money down on a house. While I don't regret having to sell those items, I sure wish I'd parted with the 220 and kept the 226. Oh well.

If I sold my SIG 220 I would have the cash necessary for an all Imbel FAL carbine built by ORF with a few mods. I'm really missing the FAL and "need" another full size battle rifle to keep the Garand and M1A company in the safe. Otherwise the AR and AK family might bully them a bit.

I know, I know...there will be those who say NEVER sell a firearm, but I'm up to my eyeballs in renovation expenses and I can't justify putting something off on the house for the sake of a rifle. Not completely anyway.

So would you part with a 220?

Never.

Only sold one firearm in my life and I regret that to this day.

Yes, whats the point of a sig if you have a 1911?

Sell the P220 and buy a P226R.

Save for the rifle.

HTH.

Or ask this question.  What do I need right now?  If the answer is "nothing," let things shake out and save money for the new guns (versus selling your current ones).

Whats the point of a 1911 if you have a Sig?

Whats the point of a 1911 if you have a Sig?

That is correct. Course, I finally aquired a 1911 that works out of the box.

Will never sell my P220. NEVER!!!

For a FAL carbine? Color the SIG gone!

No.  Selling a Sig is like selling a child...

I parted with my 220 during a HK93 deal I had going on.
If you get rid of it and miss it, just go back and get another one some time.
Unless it's a family heirloom, it's ok to trade or sell or swap for something else you might like.

I have a P220 and 1911s, personally the Sig WILL be gone when the opportunity arises.   I bought my 2nd (first one was west german and never did run right) P220 NIB for $659 and although I like it better than ANY glock it's just not that great a pistol.   Frankly I like the bone stock WW2 model Springfield better.    I think my Sig will be going towards a M1A.   Not too sure I'm very fond of my FAL either, guess I need to shoot it more to find out...

I can only get a neutered FAL

ain't no way I'm trading ANYTHING to finance THAT. Heck, I wouldn't even pay the transfer fees if you GAVE me such a FAL.

Screw the Sig. Get the FAL.

I'd sell the 220 and keep the 226....

Alright folks keep up the feedback.

I gotta have some more votes before the gun show tomorrow!

As a FAL owner a word of advice keep the Sig… unless you want a overly heavy carbine that while fun to shoot is not particularly useful.

Max Mike....How do you figure? Not to take this in a different direction, but are you saying you'd rather have a full size FAL than a carbine, or just that a handgun is more "useful"?

I was thinking that a carbine length FAL would be the perfect go to rifle...or the SOCOM16, but I'd have to sell several SIGS for that!

Scooter you can buy a full sized R1A1 for around 500-700!     Around here say ,if you are going to sell all your sigs you will be put out later down the road!

Just remember there is no pistol(what ever that is a combat pistol)they are sidearms to accompany
your combat rifle!

Find a rifle that you can hit with at ten feet to 400 yrds, then a sidearm that is reliable and again that you can hit with at ten feet and about 100 yrds!

Anything else you keep is just like Elvis's 100 harleys, how many can you ride at one time???

Find what you can be dangerous with and all the rest are just excess!!!!

Do what you must but if I wanted an R1A1 it would be cut to sixteen inch barrel with a threaded flash suppresor on it!!! Or 18!!

But thats just me,fiqure out what you want then get it!!

If you buy quality then if it's not what you want you can allways get your money back!!!
