I finally got around to watching this movie tonight, I've been putting it off for quite a while. I won't really get into the movie, other than to say that it delivered its message very well. The biggest shock for me came with the ending credits. I don't know how I missed it, but this movie was directed by Oliver Stone. For all the flack that Stone takes for his other movies, this was pro-American, pro-Military (the Marine), pro-family. Whenever someone points out that which is wrong with Stone's views I will remember this movie.
It was very well done, and extremly moving. Kudos to those that made this movie. |
| I'd also say he put his agenda aside for this movie. There were some people complaining that the arabs he showed somberly watching the news should have been dancing and burning flags like a lot of them were that day, but those are also the same people saying "kill them all". |
