What would you tell a competitor if they ask why you want to leave your current job and work for them?

"Career progression at my current employer has stagnated due to a lack of growth and opportunities to expand, and it appears from my perspective that your organization's strategy and mission are more aligned with my values."

I guess I would be honest without badmouthing my current employer.
Whatever the question.

When I did that, the person I was interviewing with said, "when we heard PPP bought xmet, we said to ourselves 'that's bad, for the people at xmet' ".  And he was right.  Lots of people had left before me, many to competitors.

Just about everyone in the business knows that the group in portland that bought xmet is insane and a bunch of corporate vampires.
I think they realized a gift had fallen in their lap, right after the previous guy had unexpectedly quit.  And the only training I needed was on their mrp system.
