Ok, so I have a Linksys WGA11B for my XBox. It worked ok, up until now. The thing is a piece of shit, it won't connect to the network anymore, even when I setup my network to match its numbers EXACTLY. I've ready many, many complaints about this piece of equipment. Wish I read them before buying. Anyway, I'm not going to call Linksys. Their tech support is some Indian, who can't speak English, who tells you to reset the hardware, which I've done 1000 times. FUCK LINKSYS. They can suck my dick. My question is, can I make a wireless router behave as a network adapter to connect to my existing wireless network? My roommate has a spare router and we're wondering if this is possible, before shelling out money for the Microsoft Wi-Fi adapter, which everyone says ACTUALLY works. Any ideas? |
| You try upgrading the ios/flash on the box? I've had problems with features on a different linksys device, and that solved it. Could be your ios is corrupted. Try their online support. I'll see if I can see anything for your product. If so, I'll post a link to it. |

I didn't see any code downloads, but you could try this link and see if any of these things help. They also have an online chat. The last two places I've worked, we've had offices in India. They know understand English and speak it, it's just hard to figure out the accent. Try their online chat feature. They were bought by Cisco, so they might be using Cisco's follow the Sun support model. If so, you might try calling support during the day US time, and you might get someone who speaks US English. Good luck. http://linksys.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/linksys.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=1921&p_created=1101254911&p_sid=8vgxq*rh&p_lva=&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPTEmcF9zb3J0X2J5PSZwX2dyaWRzb3J0PSZwX3Jvd19jbnQ9MjImcF9zZWFyY2hfdHlwZT1zZWFyY2hfbmwmcF9wcm9kX2x2bDE9JnBfcHJvZF9sdmwyPSZwX2NhdF9sdmwxPSZwX2NhdF9sdmwyPSZwX3NjZl9sYW5nPTEmcF9wYWdlPTEmcF9zZWFyY2hfdGV4dD13Z2ExMWI*&p_li= |
