For those of you using Blizzak or similar tires:

Can you drive with these on pavement?  I'm in Grand Forks, ND right now and it's looking like the snow is going to stick now.  I need to drive home to MSP this weekend and most of it will be on dry pavement.  Can I make the drive with my blizzak tires on, or will it destroy them in short order?

I've never used winter tires before so this is a first!

Thanks

Of course you can drive them on pavement. You don't just put them on for snowstorms. They are designed to go on for the entire season, including between storms.

Good on ya' for getting some real winter tires as opposed to some crappy all seasons. Personally I prefer fully studded Nokian Hakka 4's.

Okay, thanks.  I knew you could drive on dry pavement, I just didnt know to what degree it ate at the tread, being as it's a really soft compound.
