My son downloaded I-tunes after he got an i-pod and it has screwed my Windows settings. Now Windows XP asks for a password at start-up. Does anyone know how to set up XP so it loads straight to the desktop without stopping and asking for a password?

Thanks for any help!

I think your son may have set that password. Ask him about it. The password needs to be manually set, Itunes has nothing to do with it.

Installing iTunes has absolutely nothing to do with WindowsXP requiring a password.

Click Start ----> Settings ----> Control Panel -----> User Accounts -----> Pick User -----> Remove my Password

Wow he did something constructive!  However, I don't have to type a password to get in, I just click, OK or cancel (cant remember which at the moment) and then it loads to the desktop.

Thanks
