Open Windows calculator and try these (post results):
2704 / 50 2704 / 51 2704 / 52 2704 / 53 2704 / 54 |
| I saw this on an office joke website. Most folks when they do this think their computer is broken. When you do the calculations for 50, 51, 53, and 54 you get a bunch of decimals behind the number. With 52 you get 52 back. 52 is the correct answer but since you've done the other problems most people automatically assume the calculator isn't working. |

Got it, square root and all, easy to think it hasn't performed the function. Windows calculator gives no indicators whereas pretty much any other will show an = or something. |

When I got that back, I just did a quick 52x52 to confirm that I hadn't fat finger typoed the numbers, and moved on. |
