I was watching CSPAN just now. The State Department said they are paying each Israeli family that lives in the Gaza strip $350,000 to relocate.

That is alot of money, like 2+ billion supposedly. Doing the math that is like 5,715 families that are being relocated.

Has money lost integrity? We are now giving 6000 jewish families a large sum of money because they happened to live in a certain territory.... ?

A few days ago on CSPAN a guy from Israel was saying that most of the property in Gaza was wealthy. Do you think any of those families worked for their wealth? Or do they have a utopia society where "money is free", like socialism.

Else why should we honor their property if it was built on different standards of society then our own.

Looking at Israel I dont see the degree of modernism I see in America. How can every family in Gaza be so rich to earn that degree of compensation?

I use AMD.

Voice mail and instant messenger software? This is like high school level software engineering here in the US.

Wireless Internet? Wow we have wireless internet too, doesnt mean each US family is worth $350,000.

We have sattelite phones too, doesnt mean we are all worth $350,000.

Worlds leader in biotech and medical research? I would put money that you arent.

In fact I have a family friend in Israel, and he says Anti - US sentiment is very strong.

So I dont think Israel should get a dime. And your obviously arrogant.

If Israeli families get $350,000, I want $350,000 too. I want compesnation for the fact foreign countries get compensation.

Simple, because if we did not pay them, they would not move and would be forced out of necessity of survival to eliminate the terrorist threat completely. It is not in our best interest for that to happen as it might anger the oil producing states if they either had piles of dead jordanian exiles, or had to absorb a potential threat to their own government among the refugees that the Israelis displaced.

There you have it, a simple and straight forward explanation. No quibbles or apology. That is the way things are.

I guess cause no Palestinian wants my house. For 350K they can have it. I heard an Israeli on the radio complaining he was only getting 60 cants on the dollar. Sounds like they have Eminent Domain problems over there as well. FDR started the ball rolling in this direction and Dec. 7 '41 sealed our fate with Washington as the center of the universe. Now let some Hottentot in Africa come down with the hives and we get a new "Dept." The Federal Government has become so gigantic that there is no way it can be run efficiently. It can not solve one problem without creating at least one more to take its place. Not satisfied to create paradise within our borders it has slopped over to the farthest corner of the globe in its insatiable desire to regulate/legislate/bloviate. It has reached critical mass on its way to collapse and there is no way to stop it, short of financial implosion or Armegeddon.
I think within 20 years you won't be able to recognize this country. I was thinking the other day that an EMP would be a blessing. All those talking heads- GONE. Yapping politicians- GONE. (At least there would be no way they could bombard us with yap). Stupid commercials/infomercials/reality shows etc., etc., etc., GONE.
I once took a 3 month cruise on a sailboat and anchored in a national seashore down a slew with nothing but sawgrass in sight. This is perhaps the most ignorant and stupid statement I have ever read on this issue, clearly made by someone who has little or no understanding of geopolitics nor the capacity to understand same. We do not and have never paid the Israelis for anything other than our own interest. They managed to build a country and kill one hell of alot of arabs without our help. We have since the 70s oil embargo paid them specifically not to wipe out the Jordanian exiles simply because it was in our best interest to do so. That is really all there is to it. I have tried to make the explanation simple for simple minds to comprehend.

If we did not pay them and support them, the Israelis would be forced to wipe the palis out completely, or deport them into other lands that don't want them.

because Isreal is the 51st. State with all rights of access to Federal money without paying taxes to the U.S. No politician will EVER say ANYTHING negative about Isreal. There is a great political fear of the repercusions of not handing Billions of dollars to isreal. Even this post will not doubt rain down fire on me for stating a fact.
