I am trying to think of reasons.  This is what I have come up with…

We are winning the war and the terrorists are on the run.
There was too much security at the Olympics.
Fear of UN backlash too great.
They don’t have enough assets attack “everything” and they are saving up for something big.
They act randomly and could not terrorize if they hit every major target.
They only want to hit the U.S.A. and other targets they view as their enemy



what do you think was their reasoning?

they knew nobody was watching

the olympics represent a gathering of the world. an attack during such an event would not of helped their cause. most of their power comes from other countries not siding with us/remaining neutral.
