Normal 14 hour day for me tomorrow. Getting a paid day I can take later. Snacks this year gunna be Friday with the fam.

I'm off, but getting holiday pay.
I quit working voluntary OT on holidays years ago. It looks great on paper until you get the paycheck. I always lost more in taxes than I took home. |

Working 10 hours. In effect I will get paid for 25 hours. I get 10 hours "Holiday" pay whether I work or not. I get time and a half for every hour I work so I get 15 for working 10 plus the 10 equals 25 hours. I also get 10 hours on Friday for not working which is my regular day off.

Brought a large stack of files home with me (I can remotely log onto our system from home). I'm a customs broker/freight forwarder and the numbnuts at one of my offices in China didn't get me the paperwork I needed to do something Customs requires before the vessels sail overseas. Hopefully, I get what I need this evening, and can get it all done without having to do much tomorrow at all.
No extra pay, since I'm salaried. |

Everything is shut down tomorrow, however we normally have friday off and if I had worked it would have been my base pay x3.
ETA: though I'm not working both tomorrow and fri are paid holidays. |

7pm-7am I will already be on over time so I get 12 hours at time and a half plus 12 hours regular pay for the holiday. So 12 hours at x2.5 time.

I work 11PM tonight to 6AM
the last 6 hours I get overtime, holiday pay, and $1 an hour 3rd shift premium $21.45 per hr almost makes my gas station job almost seem like a real job! |

Luckily I'm off this year but next year if I'm scheduled it will be double time and a half. Plants get repaired on holidays so no rest for us.

Just another day, but I get to eat better.
Yeah...edited to add..... I MIGHT get paid this week if we make enough.  My employees get paid first.
