I guess you just saw Top Gear didn't you ? They did a high mountain rescue in one. |
|
Good looking truck. But, given my location, I would never have the opportunity to use it for what it is designed for.

When I want a truck, I just want a plain 4x4. Never understood these super expensive 'performance trucks' but to each his own I guess.
|
|
|
I just wish they didn't get rid of the V8. Turbo 6 is fine for performance it just doesn't sound the same like a truck like that should.

I was hard pressed to justify the low 30s for my FJ, no way in hell I could justify 60-70 grand for a Raptor.
Hope they sell a ton of them though and piss off every EPA/MPG putz in the US of A. |

Wonder if you can take it off any sweet jumps without the frame folding in half like the last generation?

No hate here, if I had the cash, a Guy-Fieri haircut, distressed Lucky Jeans, an over-mortgaged house in the suburbs, a spray tan, white-framed Oakleys, and no intention whatsoever of letting my leased Raptor see anything but Panera Bread parking lot, I'd drive one.

I wonder what the real mileage will be, my 14 get about 14 mpg at 25000 miles a year it gets kind of excessive.

Sorry if I just described any Raptor owners here, no hate bro. View Quote Not me.. I'd use the piss out of it until it broke. It would see a lot of lumber, gravel, trails, rocks, sand and snow. If it's going to cost that much it had better shit little platinum and diamond chunks out of its tailpipe. |

I HATE the front end design of the new F-150s, with the Raptor being an exception. I think it looks pretty damn good.

How can you spend this much on a vehicle and then complain about the mileage View Quote Quite honestly I severely underestimated the amount of driving I would be doing. I put 37,000 miles on it in a little under 8 months. I didn't have any trouble affording it. It's just that I decided I would rather have something more suitable for driving up and down the roads like I was doing, and have extra money to spend on more... responsible... things. ETA: I sat down and did the math one day and - assuming the truck would last for 200,000 miles - it would have cost 80 cents a mile to drive. That's purchase price, oil changes, new tires every 30k, and $2.50 / GA for fuel. |
|
Worth maybe half of what they'll ask and I still wouldn't buy american piece of shit vehicle.

The HO 3.5L EB engine is supposed to put out more HP and Torque over a broader RPM band than the 6.2L engine it is replacing.
Hell the 3.5L EB that exists today puts out damn near. The 6.2L only beats it at it's peak. Just sayin. |

I'll have one as soon as the super crews come out. It will be my 3rd Raptor.

If they made a Raptor SUV maybe. But I just bought a 14 4runner and didn't really want to get the TRD Pro.

Even if I could afford it I wouldn't. All it needs is a Salt Life sticker on it to make the ultimate douchebag machine.

I will be buying one....holding onto my current Tahoe only because of these new ones, otherwise I would have one already. Also, there are rumors of a possible option for a 5.0 Ecoboost...not sure how much truth there is in that.
