The method of operation has nothing to do with it. I has to do with a lot of pressure in the chamber (55,000 PSI for M16) pushing the bullet when fired. When the barrel is full of water, the bullet has nowhere to go with a lot of steam behind it. |

As stated in the other thread, I still don't understand why the AR fired 4 rounds BEFORE KBing, and why the barrel didn't split or bulge. |

Because it was a Bushy barrel made of the best materials! That and I figure there was still air in the barrel for the first couple of rounds (if the 2nd & 3rd were fired fast enough so water didn't have time to come in). |

I would do it, but the lakes are pretty cold right now in Minnesota and I have
the sniffles and I would have to get permission from my physiatrist before they would return my guns to me and then there's the cost of four bullets to deal with and I'm kinda busy right now with Halloween coming up and all and come to think of it, I believe Minnesota has some sort of "anti-aquaBumping" law on the books, but other than that I'd do it in a minute man.
