Telegram is a dirty word in some circles. Hey kids, let's roll our own encryption with no independent testing or verification. Who needs peer review from hundreds of specialists to come up with something totes unhackable! Security through obscurity is the bestest! Also, apparently the encryption option is disabled by default. Edited to add: A little reading if you're bored And some more Thanks. Thats good info even if old. I use Signal too, but its a really clunky app. I havent tried whatsapp in years and had no idea they used the same protocol as signal. I think its time for another go. |
