I love it.  Secure, open source, self destruct timers, and some content delivery ability.   Beats the pants off of FB messenger.

Telegram is a dirty word in some circles.
Hey kids, let's roll our own encryption with no independent testing or verification. Who needs peer review from hundreds of specialists to come up with something totes unhackable! Security through obscurity is the bestest!
Also, apparently the encryption option is disabled by default. You might want to check that out before sending anything rude about the President

Thanks.  Thats good info even if old.  I use Signal too, but its a really clunky app.  I havent tried whatsapp in years and had no idea they used the same protocol as signal.  I think its time for another go.
