I admit I bought 2 Glocks (19 and 23) that have been on my list for a while now.  I also padded the ammo supply a bit... just needed a reason to buy a bit more.

Any one else need a reason to be even more prepared for the worst?

I picked up another shotgun that I had set aside a while back... I planned on picking it up this friday, but I decided not to wait

I kept fighting the urges to buy more ammo.
I have to keep telling myself that I have enough already.

I picked up some extra ammo at walmart to add to my rainy day supplies.  Though, I was planning on the pipeline shoot this weekend, so I already have a few thousand rounds on hand.  Only a few hundred hollowpoints, so I figured a couple hundred more couldn't hurt.

Enough ammo, hg112?  You have to be a plant.  One of US never has *enough* ammo. [:)]

I bought 50 rounds of .45ACP since I shot the last of mine last weekend.  Also picked up 50 rounds of a new brand of 45Colt ammo.  Last, but far from least, I bought 120 rounds of 6.5x55 from the ammoman.  :-)

Not really stocking up because of the attack, just my normal purchasing behaviour.

Now *IF* I had been stocking up, I would have bought at least 300 rounds of .45ACP, 300 rounds of 9mm, 500 rounds of 7.62x39, 200 rounds of 6.5x55, 200 rounds of 7.62x54R, 200 rounds of 45Colt, and a veritable mountain of 22LR.

But my safe is pretty well stocked already and I'm not *that* worried.

Looks like everyone here pretty much got stuff that they would have bought anyway.  Just needed an excuse guys?

I think it's kind of odd for the rush on guns. After all, it's not that kind of war. I really don't see Bin Lauden's cronies marching down the street. If they attacked say a resturant using firearms, then those with CCWs would retaliate, but CCW holders already have guns.

Camper, do yourself a favor and get a Dillon.  You won't regret it!

Yes.  I got my gun push before Y2K when I realized it would be stupid to be caught without a gun to defend myself.  However, if my mom hadn't sold my dad's guns after he died to make ends meet I wouldn't have had to. [:(]  I understand why she did it, and at least she kepy my great great grandfather's .22, which is irreplacable.

As far as ammo, I haven't bought more than I normally do.  I generally have at least 200 rounds of .40 and 5.56mm at the house.  Yesterday just reminded me that I shot it all the last time I went to the range.

I was planning on buying more AR mags and possibly a Glock 27 this weekend at the gun show, but that all depends on how prices are.  I'm hoping they don't jack them up just for the hell of it.

God Bless Texas

I bought a AK today, but had been planning on buying it this week anyway, and 2 cases of ammo for it, and 10 30 rd mags.

Yes, bought 100rds of 45acp and .223. Got 2 mags for the Kimber a box of .22's, and a Fobus Holster for the Glock.

After wards, got some gas mask's and filters and extra mag holders for my tac-vest and a radio holder.

Got some gas and propane. I've already got most of what I need leftover from Y2K.

I want to get a SKS but I am too damn poor for those too. I mean isn't $500 a bit much for those?

SKS's should go for 150 to about 170.  Give or take a few dollars.

I placed another order for more 223.  I have plenty but can always use more.

Not because of this.  I just took delivery of my RRA receiver that came from the "other" group purchases.  Also I had to have 100 rounds of .357 Sig. for my CCW class so I had the reloading bench already set up.  I cranked out an extra 400 rounds.

I can already out fit a squad of 6 if someone don't mind using a Garand and a Sendero.  They could work as long range support for the other 4.

I think I will get the 9mm conversion for my Sig though.

I ordered some more .223 from AIM yesterday. Not because I think I'll need it because of this, but what happened Tuesday reminded me that you never know what's going to happen from one minute to the next, and I like to be prepared. And you can never have enough ammo.

I was late to the Chicago ar15.com meet this past labor day, so I had tons left to bring back with me.   I did make a order to aim for more 7.62 * 39, .223, 9 *18, and .38.   around 2000 rds.  About 5 mins after it happened.

I also stopped at the local fun store to chitchat with the fellas on Tues too, and I bought 2 bricks of .22
With the order comming to my house, I will finally become a "gun-nut" with arsenal status!
Over 10,000 rds!!

I just ordered a HS2000 Monday night and then all this crap happened Tuesday morning. So I don't know when the hell I'll get it. My payment has to go through the mail and then the gun has to come back. I ordered this before the events so it doesn't really count.

But I did go out Tuesday afternoon and purchase two new concealment devices,,, one holster and a faggie pack holster.

I always keep a minimum of 25,000 assorted rounds. I reload all the free brass I pick up at the range for the last 10 years. Must have picked up 20,000 pieces of brass in the last 10 years. Do nothing but reload in the winter months.

Luckily I did all my ammo shopping on Saturday.  I was almost completely out of .223 so I bought a case.  Still want more though.  I've got plenty of .45, 9mm, .380, and shotgun slugs and buckshot.

Bought more SA .223, more 9X18 Tues. More today, now that the ATMs are working right again.

Now there's a lesson to be learned- don't wait until a crisis to buy ammo, etc- you might not be able to get $ for it.

No credit cards. I want NO RECORDS!

Upgraded my reloading setup a bit.  The only stocking handgun storefront in my rather large city had no .22 handguns with adjustable sights, or that would have been on the list too - I've been meaning to pick one up for a while but just never got around to it.  WWIII looming is an excuse even my girlfriend will buy. Yes, I had to visit the chocolate store AND the jewelry store too...

Son went to CO and bought a Bushy. Some guy in Fort collins wanted $900 for a post ban. Son asked him if he felt good using a national disaster to take advantage of others. (raised him well) Bought his at Sportsmans Warehouse in Loveland for under $700.

I was about five minutes away from sinking about $4000 into a .50 cal plus accessories, but then realized that I will never be able to afford to shoot it.

Soooo, bought a new Glock M27, spare magazine, box of ammo for my revolver, fourteen boxes of PMC .223 that was on sale, pound of Varget, Box of Sierra 168gr BTHPs, hundred primers, Knights Armament surefire adapter for my RAS, and a Big Mac Combo w/ Mr. Pibb.

The wife is so happy that I didn't blow $4000 of the marital funds, that she didn't complain a bit.

The timing is just a coincidence.  A large purchase had been planned for quite some time.
