I know we have all traded or sold a firearm that we looked back on and could have kicked ourself on doing it. The gun I wish I would have never traded was a Sig P226 in 40 with nite sites. That was one sweet gun! What was yours?

You sold that!!!!! Surely you are kidding. _____________ As for me, I have not really sold anything technically. I have left a rifle at my Bro's for safekeeping. He thinks I gave it to him. ______________ BTW Morgan Keegan, I assume you work for that firm. What do you do for them if you don't mind me asking. I'm an unemployed bond trader, I need a contact at your bond desk. Know of anyone I can talk to.

If seized by gov't agents counts as 'traded or sold,' I miss my Rifle Factory Ishapore model 1A (Indian FAL type clone). Sand cuts in the bolt carrier, safety sear, comprehensive list o' banned equipment, winter trigger, wood furniture, Lee Enfield trapdoor buttplate, type 3 receiver, etc. Though I technically have not yet sold the rifle, the gov't has ruled that I can't continue to own it, which leaves them few options except for expropriating it against my will, confiscation without compensation, or returning it to me in a deactivated condition. [rolleyes]

LordTrader, I am a select client broker. As for the job openings you should call Memphis and see what they have open. I know we require the following MBA Series 63 & 7 I wish the best at finding an opening, but you may know that the markets are fickle at the moment and openings are slim. This is a VERY SLOW business at the time. Email me and I will give you a guys name in St. Louis that works for MLynch that might be able to help you out. Also I hear that Edward Jones is hiring some new brokers. I would say you might have a chance with them if you can bring your clients with them. Clients = Power Good Luck

I should have kept my Springfield Armory SAR 4800, nice shooter, sold to finance new big block for the race car! Had a really nice Underwood M1 carbine that also went in the race car project. I almost sold my old Colt SP-1 about 12 years ago, bought new in 1981 for $380. Still have it, just don't shoot it that much anymore. It's a keeper now!

I sold my Sp-1 shorty... So Growing grass could buy dope. It's a better reason than the real one. I just wasn't shooting alot. Doh!

After my first divorce (I am long-term relationship challenged), I sold a few guns for cash, and I regret selling a Colt MK IV Series 70 tuned government model the most. It was sweet, but I had to eat. [>Q]

Gunmonkey, I'm up north in the People's Republic of Canada. I can't ship it to you because under our laws as they stand, I can't touch my gun without a registration certificate that our gun registry won't give me. Neither can I move the gun without another permit, even if I had the registration certificate. And shipping it across the border would require all that plus a special one time use designated route, designated time transport permit and an export permit from the department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, plus a corresponding import permit from the US State Dept - if they'd issue it, which I doubt, since it's a safety sear gun. I can't ship it out, but I doubt I could sell it in Canada either. To give you an example of how many Canadians might be able to legally buy it from me, not one of the - I won't call them Gestapo, but imagine intrusive antigun BATF agents except more bureaucratic and thicker than posts - at my local firearm regulations office are licensed to own this type of gun. The government disapproves of this gun so much that for about a decade it has refused to issue any further licenses for this class of firearm. Which is all rather strange, since the gun is a basic .308 semiauto, limited to 5 round mags by enforced government prohibitions. I replaced that gun with a 30-06 M1 Garand with 8 round clips. By the tangled web of what passes for logic amongst our legislative bodies, the latter of these guns is 'non-restricted' like a .22 Chipmunk single shot and the former is 'prohibited' like a 30mm gatling cannon. Did I neglect to mention that the same legislation that took my gun also make me an unpaid 'Public Agent' tasked to enforce this moronic law? I'll enforce that law alright .. right after I do this [moon]

If you are stuck I can buy your FN1A1 off you. I allready have one but I might be able to get it past my wife. I picked up my AR from a guy who had it confiscated by the cops. They refused to let me have it until I threatened to arrest the chief of police and had the CFC call them to demand they release it....it was two days from the crushers when I got my hands on it.

My biggest regret was selling my Enfield No4 mk1 with Bisley sights!! I sold it to a friend when I needed money to buy books for school....he still has it....Hmmm better give him a call, he does not shoot anymore since he got into gocart racing...maybe he needs money now?

I wish I never sold my Bright Stainless Colt 1911 .45. I recently replaced it at a cost of $1000 ouch). Oh and honorable mention is the colt delta elite 10mm which I sold for $300 a year ago and are now selling for $600. I never liked the gun or the caliber much but I hate the sell low buy high scenario.

A Colt Commander that I was given as a teenager. I sold it and my handful of other guns when I went in the Army, because I didn't want to cart them around the world. Maybe its just a case of fading memory, but I always seemed to shoot better with that pistol than any handgun I've owned or carried since...
