I know this has been done before, but not recently that I'm aware of.

Hoping to take advantage of the Amazon Wal-mart grudge match and get my very first tablet.  And what's even better I can write it off my taxes for work!

Said tablet needs GPS, slot for additional memory, a port or two so I can connect it to other stuff and phone/data ability.

The above criteria puts me in the larger sizes which is fine, and, since this is my first one, my knowledge about tablets consists of being able to identify them 9 out of 10 time when I see one.

Oh Great Hive, enlighten me!

Thanks in advance.

SO and I got the galaxy tab A 8in

Size isn't too big and isn't small either.

I rarely use my computer any more unless I need it for actual computing.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (GT-N8010). If this tablet would break today, I'm gonna get a new one today.

That's how much I like it.
Quadcore with a 1280x800 pixels screen. Additional pen, camera front and back.

Battery is excellent. I like it so much because it is pretty fast for a tablet. Screen is excellent.

GF has a smaller Samsung Tab 8 that works fine also.

With a wireless mouse or just a long mini HDMI cord you can use your flat screen TV as display. I use the HDMI out for many different things.

And make sure the one you pick has at least 2 GB of RAM.

Just searched it on B&H and it's no longer available?  What's up with that?  You said if it broke today, you'd get it today.  Other searches I've seen have it being out in 2014?
