It's a broad assumption that a group of terrorist will hit this country in the near future, but where?  Something on the scale of 9/11?  Pobably not unless they can take out a nuclear power plant which is considered by most a  hard target.

Where then, what is easy, would take few resources and have a dramatic effect on the Amercian people?  How would we protect against it?

Your thoughts,  I have mine, but they are too horrible to  contemplate and they have already hit this type of target before.

Why not a nuke power plant? I mean, for Chrsts sake, all you need to do is stop the flow of the coolant and it will make a KABLOOEY the size of 5,000,000 Glock KBs.. I saw it on TV..

assumption is right.

If they were any where near ready for an attack, they would have during the first week of Katrina vs NO.

Now if they do it will probably be Detroit/Chicago/L. A./Houston/Denver

This question is precisely why terrorism "works."

It is impossible to predict in a free society what they will do next.

There are obvious soft targets which would yield high shock/economic damage.

I for one will not be posting such targets on the internet.

Let them do their own damn brainstorming.

I'd be concerned about soft civilian targets, like shopping malls. Imagine the economic impact of bombs or suicide attacks over the Thanksgiving-Xmas shopping period . Another good reason to CCW everywhere you go.

+1
I can name off 3 or 4 dozen Soft targets that would devistate the economy with very little actual damage.
