For security and comfort, I carry in a front pocket

Front pockets are MUCH safer from pickpockets or accidental loss

Front pocket.  The seats in my Subaru STi are very uncomfortable with it in a rear pocket.

Right rear unless I'm in a pickpocket rich environment then it goes into my front right pocket.

+1 Been doing it that way since the Navy sent me to Naples when I was 20.

Front pocket, I always worry it will slide out of my back pocket.
Front pocket was considered very nerdy in high school, but I never lost it after I changed to the front.

Now my brother has one of those giant, full wallets and he is always putting it on the table before dining. I am surprised he doesn't leave it more places.

Left rear, never moves from there, even when I de-pants and go to bed.

I *always* know where my wallet is.

I had a room mate that used to take his out and leave it laying around.  Every time we needed to go somewhere, I had to wait 10 minutes while he ran around the house to try and find his wallet and keys.  I hate people like that...there will be special camps for them when I finally take over the world.

Back left pocket usually with Velcro flap on it. Bags

If I am carrying it goes in the back pocket, right next to my piece.  If I am at a bar or other place surrouned by other drunks it goes in the front pocket.

Rear pocket. If I'm going to a crowded public place I'll put a heavy duty rubber band around it. Makes it harder to snatch and if they do snatch I'll know right away. I like the checkbook-style wallets so it won't fit in my front pocket.

Right rear unless I'm in a large city.  Then, right front.

On my normal day tot day it's in my rear pocket. I only carry a small leather flip poen deal that has a card pocket on each side. I have my CCL & dl on instant display. Any other cards I need go right behind them, & my debit card floats free inside it. If I'm in a large crowd I put it in my front pocket.

Back pocket.  There's no way anybody can pick my pockets without my noticing.  If I'm in a bad neighborhood, I stuff my wallet in my waistband.

Right rear pocket.  At very rare times, front right pocket if I'm in a very crowded area.

Yep.

Although my Royal Robbins trekking pants/khakis have a thin zippered pocket behind the front pocket that I have started using.  My Columbia shorts have something similar so I find I only do the right rear with jeans anymore.

For all the rear pocket except in the city:

Why not carry in the front pocket all the time?

Jeans keep it packed in too tight or something.  The positioning isn't great.
I only do that with jeans.

Rear pocket all my life.  Only time I lost it was one time it slid out of my pocket on a subway in Chicago.  It was returned with the contents intact.

I keep mine in my front pocket - when it is not in my Man Purse.

You rear pocket people need to get yourself a taxi wallet.

It's curved to fit in your front pocket comfortably. Front pocket carry is more secure and better for your back when you're sitting down. Plus the taxi wallets have the best accessory pockets of any wallets I've seen.

I put down rear pocket, cause when I wear jeans, I carry it in my left rear pocket.

However, 85% of the time I wear cargo pants or cargo shorts, so I keep it in a buttoned or zipped left cargo pocket.

I don't know if it is any more or less secure, but it is better for the hips and alignment.

I rarely carry one...
Usually it's in my truck, in the console. If not there, it's in my laptop bag.

My kids call the laptop bag   "Daddy's purse"

Mine is too heavy.  I just have my porters take turns with it.
