BCM, one of AIM's many offerings?  Nitride, NiBo, Exo, wtf ever else, I have no idea

I heard phosphate coated was the new hotness.

I am a huge fan of NiB coated BCGs now.  Once you've had one (or a couple) it is really tough to go back.

AIM or Toolcraft.

I prefer nitrided.

The only one I've dealt with (a PSA model which is back in their hot little hands to sort out) caused massive extraction issues.

Most of my ARs have BCM bcgs in them.

There was a pic posted on FB recently of a Phase 5 nib BCG with a broken gas key screw. It wasn't staked well either. Not sure on round count but aside from the damage it looks pretty new. 300 blackout upper

I do have a Nickel Boron from the dueling dicks I've been happy with, just wanted to know if I was missing something since I bought that one in 2013 or so.

I have nib in all my rifles, 2 look new still, one I ran so hard it looks like black chrome now but is still slippery.

PSA NiB   When on sale $108 with free shipping.     They are Nice.   I could afford to pay three times more, for the Gucci brands, but I really don't see how they could be any better.

I have a couple PSA's.  They're fine.  I don't need fancy bells, whistles, finishes, etc.  Just plain Jane mil-spec.  Keep wanting to try something else. Just can't justify a reason for it.

Cheap

I have several that have all performed equally as well, aside from clean up.  Phosphate, nitride, NP3 and NiB.

Lately, I've only been buying Daniel Defense for BCGs.

My last PSA ones looked OK, but the firing pin looked cheap and discolored.

I had an AIM one that the cotter pin wouldn't go back in.  I wound up bending it and replacing it.  That could have been my fault, but I've put countless BCGs back together without an issue before that.

My NP3 hasn't given me any problems, but I have seen pictures of the coating flaking off.  Same for NiB.

The high round count AR15 thread got me on the DD bandwagon.

This..

I've converted 9 of my ar rifles after 1200 rounds with my 1st one.
Not looking back.

When you can use 1/2 the usual lube, not reapply, run 1200 rounds without any feed or exyraction issues then scrape the carbon off your bolt with your fingernail, well..... why use anything else?

All are of equal quality...but the Toolcraft costs $60 less.  Military armorers use Toolcraft.

According to Battlefield Vegas Colts out last all others. There is a huge thread about the abuse their guns see and what really lasts. They also report that palmetto state armory BCGs are holding up very well also.

Yup.

BCM and LMT are all I have ever owned. Not going to pay extra anymore.

NI BO can be had for 116.00, but you have to wait for notification since they are always out.

Which companies are actually manufacturing their own BCGs and not assembling them from other manufacturers parts? I know the big companies are (Colt, FN, LMT, etc). How about BCM, LaRue, PSA, Spikes, Daniel Defense, etc, etc.
