I was in 6th or 7th grade, and I saved up a few weeks' allowance and bought Weird Al's Running With Scissors. I listened to it on loop in my dad's truck on the way to bible camp that eventually my friend was like "dude, we have to listen to something else."

Second one was definitely They Might Be Giants' Flood. Must have gotten it in 8th grade or in the summer before 9th grade.

Third was probably the soundtrack to Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, which had a bunch of stupid skits and movie lines on it, but also had that one Stroke Nine song anybody gives a shit about, and Tougher Than Leather by RUN-DMC.

So what were your first albums?

Van Halen 1984, I hate Van Halen to this day.

The first CDs I bought were Right Said Fred "I'm too sexy" and NIN "Broken". The cashier at Camelot Music gave me an odd look, lol.

Followed by Black Sabbath: Paranoid and Led Zeppelin 4.

The first album I bought was Rock and Roll Over by KISS.  That was in the old days when we had LP records.  Next I bought Ace Frehley's solo album on 8-track so I could listen to it in my mom's car.  About that time regular cassettes hit the market so I bought everything AC/DC had out and this was before Brian Johnson joined the band.  I still have a lot of vinyl as well as a 78 rpm Victrola that we still wind up when the power goes out.
