I was looking at the RRA web site, found an upper that I wanted, and it was in stock, I was just about to buy it but thought of some other bills that really should have been paid first so I didn't get it. Later, (same day) while I was out and about, I stopped by the local gun shop and found the exact same RRA upper right there on the shelf! Same price as posted on the RRA web site. So, I says to the guy... lemme look at that there upper. Once I got it in my hands I didn't want to let it go so I figured that I'd find another way to pay the bills and got the thing.
Anyway, the point is, there was no panic, I casually strolled in and casually bought the upper I wanted. I asked the guy what about ammo? He told me that they didn't have much in the store but have it in their warehouse and they could get it for me. Box of 900 for $400.00. Now, if PSA would just send me my lower build kit I'll be good to go! |

Uppers aren't the thing to buy during a panic. That is the case if you base your panic off of the text of the last ban alone. uppers are not serialized, it would be hard to regulate things without date stamps that could be turned out by any machine worker with a sample to go by |

Right now uppers and complete rifles are easier to find. That is right now. Parts and lower receivers are another story. Try finding a bolt carrier group online right now and you'll be lucky to find some $300 high end one and that's it. Lowers that I saw at the gun show this past Saturday were already $40 higher than the weekend before. 30 round mags are about sold out everywhere online too. Panic buying started up after the election and after the tragedy on Friday it's gone full retard. |
