Question, I am new to the computer use game. What kind of spyware if any does this ar15.com board use? What info does it get when I log on? I am not a computer whiz, so I am asking. I am a paranoid person, but then it is hard to take a paranoid person by surprise. Any info will be appreciated.

Don't worry, you are safe from those who would prey on you. All ar15.com traffic is routed through the latest technology at the NSA, & FBI....

Ok, almost two hours on the board and three replies from the computer gurus, well hello, Mr. FBI agents. Evidence is what gets you put in prison, thanks but no thanks. Wait a minute the voices are talking to me again, will be back in a minute.

AR15.com is a web site not a program. It has no spyware. It may use cookies to track your surfing, somewhat, but I doubt it. Don't get paranoid.

1 - AdAware rocks, one of the best if not, THE best, anti spyware tools out there. Worth the money if you reg it.
2 - We don't spy on diddly poo. Why? Well first off there is WAY too much traffic. I mean we got people coming in and outta here like ants. [=)] We also don't see any reason to do so. If we have a question, we'll ask it. The only things we monitor are the ads (when they are clicked, shown, etc), your autologin (handled by a GUID so your password is never passed over the pipe), and we DO log your IPs and email addresses for registration and logins. This is used internally only when we need to check on multiple accounts, trolls, etc. We don't sell mail accounts, we don't spam people, we don't track surfing habits off the site, and we don't offer donuts or coffee... [=P] Mmmmmm donuts... |

And Sir, I thank you, it coming from the Master so to speak, so either you have made me feel better or as I said the meds are indeed kicking in. ( just for the record the med thing is a joke)

Bountyhunter, what OS version do you have?
There's lots of useless stuff that accumulates, not so much from this site, but others, which you should clean out regularly. |

USNJoe - check your spelling of Tempest.
Do you want to include Van Eck, Faraday, trusted system, HAARP, etc.? |

Just wrap your monitor in foil to prevent the satellites from reading your screen.
