[ARCHIVED THREAD] - What is wrong with Search engine?

I just bought a one-year membership to this site so I could use the search engine (well, I thought that would fix it) Search engine still returns nothing no matter what I type in? Is this a known problem? (I would have searched for this, but, well, you know)

The search engine needs to have its carburetor rebuilt.

It's been useless as long as I have been here. I'm not sure what is wrong with it, I have typed exact letter for letter thread titles in from memory and found nothing. Sometimes you get lucky, but mostly it's a waste of time.

Wow how long has it been broken??.. havent bought a team membership for i think about 2 years(Waiting for a lifetime membership) and back then it worked great

Broke since forever, give or take.
The search engine idles pretty rough and has a misfire at around 4,500 RPM.

The search engine is only as smart as the person using it.

I dont know what you guys are looking for and not find, it always seems to work fine for me.

Yeah, this site's search engine is really bad. Most decent search engines search thread titles and the contents. This one only seems to search thread titles, and it does a piss poor job of that. Sometimes it seems to work better that others, but overall it blows dog. Probably the worst I have seen on the several boards where I am a member (and I don't even pay for those sites).
