It looks like the Alabama legislature passed a law allowing the use of deadly force to protect property outside the home, and make it legal to use deadly force during a home invasion, the news called it shoot first ask questions later. The Gov. hasn't signed it yet, but said he will gladly sign it, when it gets to his desk. The Gov also said he hopes it will make criminals think twice about commiting their crimes. From what I have read, you no longer have the duty to retreat, and deadly force can be used anywhere that you have a right to be, and you are supposed to be protected from lawsuits in the event you use deadly force. The NRA, helped get this law passed. It is supposed to be modeled after Georgia's. Can someone explain the GA deadly force law?............Thanks Treeman
