Not sure they really "stand for" anything. Their fundamental flaw is their feeling (they really don't have much in the way of belief, either) that all people are inherently good. Therefore they are for maximum individual freedom, at least when it comes to doing senseless things that make you feel good. They are eternal optimists, but never want to do the hard work to earn the rewards that they feel they are entitled to. They envy self-made successful people, even if they themselves are trust fund babies. They argue like women, no logic or fact, just emotion and rhetoric. They are basically all women and emasculated men.

The only thing they have as a defense in a debate is "feeling"! It's all about how they feel and not whats fact or whats important to this country!
The only feeling they give me is  ! Just like the feeling you get if someone is torturing you by looking at Rosie O Donnell's cellulite! But now seriously i moved here from a country (Germany) where no guns, open borders, most drugs are legal, drinking age is "officially" 16, raised taxes, and gay marriage is your everyday life! Oh and government health care, where you have to wait weeks up to month to see a Dr.. So basically Germany is a democrats dream, they can hug the turks and drive tiny cars to save the world. Put them all on a boat ship them over there and be done with! ~S |

I don't know what they stood for in the pst (I hear it was noble) but, as far as for the timeI'VE been aware of them (Almost 30 yrs now) they've "More or less" seemed like the"America SUCKS and we're here to change it!" party.
What's always puzzled me about that is that most of the ones I've known personally are some of the most G**DAMNED MISERABLE POS' I've ever met. |

At school yesterday one of the guys said he wanted to vote for Hitlery. We told him he was retarded. He said he would vote for her because he would get more without having to work for it. By the way this was at GUNSMITH SCHOOL!!!!!

Democrats are usually better on privacy and free speach issues, as well as the protection of a few other constitutional liberties. However, as a whole, I have very little positive to say about their party or their positions. Of course, I don't have any more positive to say about the Republicans recently...
A small handful of Democrats have a pretty good grasp on economics and foreign politics, although they seem to be a distinct minority. So, do you prefer the Stupid party or the Evil party. Every election, you have to choose one or the other. |

Communism Socialism Abortion on demand (probably leading to euthenasia) Higher taxes on everything Punishment of capitalism, successful industry, America, etc. under the guise of environmentalism Sexual deviancy (they already have homosexuality legitimized, beastiality and pedophilia are supported by fringe groups and becoming more mainstream) Disarmament of civilians One-World Order, with themselves as cultural and political elite Expanded rights and benefits for criminals (illegals, murderers, rapists, thieves, etc.) Censorship and harrassment of anyone who disagrees with the party line Spending other people's money to support the lazy and the irresponsible in lifestyles they did nothing to earn Racial discrimination (against whites and against non-whites) Peace-at-any-cost (nothing is worth killing for or dying for) Etc. |

All in all, I see less and less difference between republicans and dems these days. Take guns out of the comparison for a moment: generally there is this belief that dems are the taxers and spenders. But the last 12 years have left us with record spending, record pork projects, etc., all under republican control. There is no truth any longer to the claim that its just the dems that spend too much money and that the GOP is fiscally responsible. Open borders? You can't blame that on the dems either, not with the likes of the proposals coming out of the white house, right from the horses mouth (Bush): give most illegals amnesty, give them legal status. Bush signed legislation to allow a wall to be built between Mexico and the USA, but there isn't a cent of money anywhere to start the job. He is a double speaking bag of wind on this issue.
Not anymore are all dems anti gun either, or so they say. This is in comparison to those on the republican side who claim to be our buddies, but are casting anti gun votes. Look at the recent revelations about some Florida Congressmen. Bush himself has said he will sign a renewal of AWB if it reaches his desk. Lets not fool ourselves here, that things are as simple as dem=bad and republican=good any longer. Because that is a long ways from the truth, things aren't that rosey and nice. Lastly, no, I am not a dem, just someone who believes in accountability. What we really need in this country is a political revolution: throw ALL of them out of office, and start new with some real people. |
