I have Digital cable, phone and internet.
They installed a Motorola surfboard modem and an INNO Media network box that has
the 2 phone jacks, WAN jack, and LAN jack on the back. Hook a brutha' up


ETA: My laptop has wireless cabability built in.

Wireless router hooked up to your modem.
The router should have 4 or 8 cable ports and an 802.11b/g wireless radio for compatibility.

Linksys makes a good one, as do others.
Prolly less than $100 to set the whole thing up.

+1 hook a wireless router into your modem.  

i'd reset the modem as bridge and set the router up as PPPoE or whatever the modem is using, but that may be overkill.

I got a Netgear Rangemax wpn824 v2, good range, very ez set up, works great. Just what I needed. About 70 bucks.

Stay away from that Linksys N crap.  I paid a computer guy $300 to replace my G crap last week only to have Linksys admit they might have exaggerated a tad.  The G band stuff was BETTER!  That crap went straight back to BB.

Also, since I keep my laptop plugged in what's one more wire?  My wireless is SLOWER.
