Throw them away? sell them to californians? use them for range beaters?
They still work great from the bench and the one I have is the one I hand over when someone wants to try my rifle.
The only ones of mine that I have used are for my the HK tactical. I was not about to pay $75 for the 12 rounders, but now, WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!
Save it for my son and show him what happens when irrational emotions run policy.
I'm going to take apart my 10 round Bushmaster mag just to see what the fudge is going on inside.
Also wondering why one couldn't dremel the divots out of Beretta 10 rounders? |
The only one I have is the one that came with my M1A. As mentioned, they work great at the range so I don't see any reason to get rid of it. All my other 20/30 rounders were purchased at an exhorbitant price because of some idiot law that was passed.

I don't own any 10 rounders. I have thought of buying a couple for my varmit rig, sometimes the 20's are a little two long for shootin uphill while prone.
Remember, IDPA and some classes in USPSA mandate a 10-round maximum mag capacity. I would hope they would change this in future. I expect USPSA will eliminate this rule (except maybe for the 1911-friendly Limited 10 division). IDPA, of course, is run by people with a vested interest in promoting the 1911, so may be more resistant. We'll see I guess.

why did you bye any ar15 10 rds to start with i have only 20rd and 30 rd mags and one 5 to hunt with oklahoma law
Still can't afford new, non-neutered ones, but (I think thelastgunslinger, I only know his real name, which I won't post without his permission) is kindly sending me a 15-rd and 25 or 30 round PT92 mags, so I can modify those.
Easy division of boxes of ammo, though. 50/10=5 mags, 100/10=10 mags. And faster to load. |
I do believe that there were some magazines that could be converted simply by dremeling out the dimples as was mentioned earlier in this thread. I can understand keeping 10 rounders for range mags, but the idea of owning one to me is just repulsive. They represent everything that we've fought for the last 10 years. All the lies, misconceptions, knee jerk reactions and socialist bullshit we're endured is now over. I don't want any and I won't use them. If I owned any, I'd send them to someone in an occupied state. 10 rounds there would be better than nothing.
Exactly...I only need one or a couple rounds anyways...the rest are there to keep the others company |
Yeah WHY? |
If you purchased any new firearms in the last 10 years that had a normal capacity over 10, you received a neutered mag.
when i'm punching paper off the bench i like shooting 10 shot groups. even though i already had a pile of 30 rounders i picked up some 10 rounders just for that. plus, they don't protrude as far, so they are perfect for prone use and with sandbags. 30's are nice, but 10's have their place too.
Leave them in the back of the cabinet where they've been the last few years.
What 10 rounders?
I got rid of any neutered mags that came with my guns, and I sure didn't buy any. |
I purchased new firearms with a normal capacity of over 10, but mags were not included, and I probably would have pitched it anyway. Fuckin hate em and will never own a neutered mag in my life! |
I'd like to put all of mine in a big box and send them to Dianne Feinstein with a note attached that reads:
"Hey bitch, here are the bastardized mags that you and your cohorts forced upon me in 1994. Now you can take them back and know that for each one in this box, I now have 10 high-capacity ones for my fabulous bullet hoses. With these extra mags I will get more thrusts per squeeze. Oh, and BTW, you suck. Now take your precious AWB and shove it up your ass." Well, that would be fun would it not? |
please put all of your neutered mags on the EE to help out all of us in prison.
They are a GREAT reminder of what we are winning, and what will be coming back again if we're not vigilant. Keep them as a souvenire. |
I shoot IDPA so I'll keep 'em. In fact, if anyone wants to sell some Glock 19 10 rounders cheap let me know. I'd like to wind up with at least 10 total.
Contrary to rampant stupidity, the IDPA 10 round rule has nothing to do with 1911s and anyone's vested interest. |
what!?!? nobody is going to mail them to VPC saying; "i don't need these anymore"????
what a shame |
I don't have any. During our years of oppression, I just forked over the extra bucks for pre-ban hi-caps.
Tomorrow, I'm ordering some new factory Colts (30rd) for $17 each from R Guns!!! Yeah!!! |
Keeping mine. Besides, the only two that I have are for my Beretta 96, and going to standards only gains me one round. Big deal. I'll just buy whatever's handy for that thing. But the AR get's 30 rounders only.
My 3 ten round Glock 17 mags are on sale on the EE. 3@$45shipped.

Let's see... I have one 10-rounder for the AK. I think I'll keep it, since it's easier to shoot from a bench with it then with the 30s. I have two neutered 10-rounders for the Beretta too. I might sell 'em or something after I get some more standard capacity mags.
