What are the best iron sights available, or just your favorite?  

I'm personally partial to diopter sights, as on the SG-550 and HK rifles, but I'm not really sure how it compares with other peep sights in terms of accuracy.  

I suppose my question is better broken down into several others:  first, what's the best iron target sight around (brand or general type, whatever), and second, what's the best combat sight (fighting from anywhere from CQB-300 yards)?  

Are there any brands I should look out for (good or bad), or types that are of particular interest?
