Thought this was/is a 22 cal Rohm RG-14 revolver.

The shots wounded Reagan, seriously wounded a policeman and Secret Service agent, and permanently disabled presidential press secretary James Brady, who was struck in the head. Twelve days later, Reagan was back in the White House.

Thought this was/is a 22 cal Rohm RG-14 revolver.

funny, I have that same pistol except that it has fake wood grips. I have to tighten every screw after about 18 rounds or it misfires. It still gets shot more than any of my pistols.

They use revolvers because they are too stupid to use a auto.
Didn't Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme use a 1911 on Ford and stupidly not rack it or something.

I thought it was a high capacity 22 revolver that shoots a hail of bullets and can crash a plane! (If you tossed the revolver in to the turbine it might)

As I understood the event at the time, she had a cocked & locked 1911 pointed at Ford's head, but couldn't manipulate the grip safety, frame safety, and trigger all at the same time with her small hands.

Actually, the rounds were HPs with lead azide filling the cavity so they would literally explode. Developed for use on aircraft to avoid puncturing the skin of the plane.

this is correct . . and the reason they failed to work as designed was they weren't travelling at a high enough velocity outta that crappy Rhom snub-nose revolver to set the charge off.
similar to the compound in a primer - a light firing pin strike fails to ignite it
