I took the neighbor girl to her first rifle match, 200 yd reduced course. She wanted to stop to eat on the way home and when we were seated, the waiter said, "Happy Father's Day". My reply, "Uh,Uh, Thanks". She doesn't have a father figure in her life and she wanted to shoot. Here I am. She thought enough of the comment, that she grabbed the check when it came and bought dinner. All in all, it was a good day. Oh yeah, my boys called and we talked for a while.

Since I haven't been to the range in 8 months (wee need the money for food and insurance, can you believe), she sent me off to have fun.  600 rounds later I had a big smile on my face as I returned home.

It was a good day.  When the boys are old enough, Father's Day will be spent with them by my side at the range.  THAT will be a great Father's Day.

My dad got the same thing he always gets from me - a phone call telling him I love him and that he's a good dad.

I got to move furniture (not too bad).  I mesquite smoked some pork ribs and chops, and had a good lunch with my wife and mom.

Best of all, the wife gave up the sweet stuff before I headed off to work!

Way to go Pop!

My wife let me get a new DGR staockset for my M1 Garand.  Also went to Valley Forge show and picked up some stuff.

But I was completely disappointed.  My ex didn't let me talk to my little girl and she is ordered by the court to giver her to me on Father's day.  I called her on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and she didn't answer the phone.  I cannot fucking wait until this all culminates in court because I'm gonna bury her bottom feeding ass in contempt complaints alone.  Then when she's waded through all that I'm gonna dump everything else I have on her.  I hope she fucking has a nervous fucking breakdown and has to be permanently institutionalized.

I have an 18-year old daughter who came as part of a package deal with my wife.  My wife had her in a previous marriage, and the daughter was 3 when my wife & I got married.  Over the past 15 years I've been the only father she's known, since my wife's ex was never in contact, never saw the girl, nor contributed a nickel to her upbringing.

Now that she's 18 she has tracked the guy down and made contact.  This was pretty hard on me.  It was making me feel like I haven't been "enough."

I had to work Sunday, and when I got home there was a letter she had written to me.  She explained that I'll always be her Dad and this guy will never replace me.  Can't buy that at Walmart!

I got a large ice chest cooler.  It's the super insulated one that's "suppose" to keep ice frozen for five days.

Well, this is day three and I see alot of water but..........there is some ice left.  In the event that it doesen't last all five days, I will take the beer out tomorrow and put it in the fridge.  [8D]

I got a few hours in the morning fly fishing with my father, then a wonderful breakfast with my wife and 11 month old son. Spent the morning and early afternoon at my family's cottage (where I spent the majority of my childhood) with my parents, grandmother, wife and son.

As for gifts...well I got a card from my son, a hummer and nooky from my wife and two 12 packs of Foster's from the both of them. Most of all, I have all of us in good health. I couldn't ask for more.

I sleep most the way through fathers day because of my work schedule. My wife & son got me 3 new shirts for work,& a Marine Corps coffee mug that I will use at work. They took me to see XMEN 2 which helped me to sleep more of the the away! Dang was it boring.[sleep]
After the movie we stopped at my folks, & I spent some time with my dad watching a show about bulldog ants, & told him that I love him, & that he is a good dad. Last year when I had some money, I got him a real nice gas grill. Next year I should be able to get him a nice gift again.

Happy belayted fathers day to all you papa's out there!

I got a certificate for an afternoon of lessons on a powered parachute, which includes a solo flight.  It's one of those flying gizmos that looks like a seat, a lawnmower engine with a propeller, and it all hangs under a parachute.  Since all I usually want is gun stuff, and my wife doesn't really like guns, I'm hard to buy for, but she did good this year.

Sunday was my 7 year old daughter's birthday as well as Father's Day.

I got homemade cards from my daughter and my 4 year old son.

I dig homemade cards.  Kids grow up too fast.

My wife bought me the 'Band of Brothers' DVD set.  Woohoo!  Now I need to find the time to watch it.  I will not play it while the kids are awake, as it is much too violent for them now...  maybe in a few years.
