I picked up a Nikon D3100 for cheap off of E-bay and was wondering where the best site is for reposting photos here on ARFCOM? I can post 90% of the stuff from my iPhone but everything from the Nikon is too big.
Any help for the newbie would be appreciated.

I use postimage.org. I like how the download  and linking options let you pick a display size. You will get the hang of using it pretty quick. Others seem to like Imgur, but I don't care for the other feeds they try to push on you.

It depends on how much storage you'll need really.  Imgur, DeviantArt (lots of NSFW there, so I'm slowly getting away from it) and a bunch of others work great.  Nikon ImageSpace is another good one.

I like Flickr.

I got my family to download it and i added them as friends/family.

Now they can see photos of my baby daughter w/o me having to send them shit.

When I import photos in LR I just send the good ones to a generic album in Flickr.  I love how LR can link itself to external hosting services.

Flickr is the only one that hasn't pissed me off yet.  Photobucket can go suck a dick and Imgur played those games with ARF that one time.

I just read on Petapixel where Flickr is downgrading the free plan.

https://petapixel.com/2018/11/01/flickr-limits-free-plan-to-1000-photos-upgrades-pro-members/?fbclid=IwAR2FNW3vMd6m31EM_yVs5a3E_7kLwAUHIJVxCQBiRoVmr_p6LJdz9qmALts

"If you’re a Flickr free member who already has over 1,000 photos in your account, you have until January 8th, 2019, to download photos over the 1,000 limit. After that date, you will no longer be able to upload new photos to Flickr. And after February 5th, 2019, Flickr will begin deleting files that are over your 1,000 photo/video limit, starting from oldest to newest, until your account contains only 1,000 files."

Flickr is working out OK. I already had an account because of a Yahoo e-mail account. I doubt I ever reach 1000 pics. Thanks to all for the suggestions.

Probably should resize the image, before posting it to the web.

I convert all of the images I put on the web to 8bit, sRGB, jpegs.  Then I resize them to 72ppi, with the long side set to 800, or maybe 1000 pixels.

Edit:  Oh, and I use Pbase for photo hosting.  But it's not free.
