The rifle that the sniper uses in the begining on the whacko with the shotgun. I know it is an AK variant and I know it is .308, but was it a Saiga, Saiga pistol grip, VEPR, VEPR converted to use M-14 mags or what? I couldnt tell from the few shots they had of it.

I've always thought it's a Valmet model.

Yes, it was a Valmet .308

thanks. i dont know anything about valmets, time to do some research.

It was a Valmet M-78 in .308. i had one of these excellent weapons at one time and kick myself in the butt for getting rid of it. very hard to find and expensive, the mags are almost impossible to get, one of the reasons i sold it.
