The other stuff NavyGuy said is pretty savage, and again I think spot on. I am also a nobody in that space, even worse for small arms since I was a tracked vehicle guy, but I did learn a shit ton about movement to contact, overwatch and all kinds of movement drills. The concepts are the same, just the Abrams is bigger  In fact when I took the Marco Vorobiev spetnaz small unit class I'd say about 85% of the movement drills were identical with what I did as an Abrams commander. There really wasn't much difference until you started breaching a building or working inside confined areas |
