I ordered 3 (lol) rounds of .50 Cal from CheaperThanDirt.com. One is ball, one is tracer, and the other is blue incendiary.

None of them are shiney, and pretty tarnished.

Any quick/easy ways to shine them up? I want them for display mainly...

Thanks,

ComputerGuy

Where can I find brasso? How about something that could be found in an auto parts store???

How about "Taco Bell" hot sauce???  It always worked on pennies as a kid.

Mothers Alloy Mag Polish. It seems to cut the tarnish better than brasso, and it leaves a brighter shine. Does wonders on brass paint ball barrels.

Any kind of polishing compound, or rubbing compound, or even car wax, if you work it enough.  Go see what's in your garage first.

I second Mothers Alloy Mag Polish.  Everytime I have used it, it worked great.

If they’re really tarnished, start with 0000 steel wool, which will give a dull shine.  Then use the Brasso for a brighter shine.

However, Brasso contains ammonia, which weakens brass.  Once you’ve used it on these rounds, they should be considered unshootable.
