Gotta go soon and I'd like to do this first.  No replies in Survival so I'll try GD:

So, I've got some 5 gallon water storage kegs and want to store some H2O. Just clean with Clorox mix then store with 10/1? is there something else I can/should use? How long will it stay stable/potable?

S/F,

Hollywood

Not enough info on Google.

No - store the water without bleach.

If the water is out of the tap and kept sealed in the dark you're not going to grow bacteria in it. Treat the water before drinking if you suspect it's gone bad.

I store three 55 gallon barrels and nine 7 gallon jugs and have never had the water go bad on me. I do change out the water ever couple of years and have never had algae grow nor found the water to have any smell or taste to it. Still if I were to use it for drinking water I'd run it through my drip filter.

The main use for the water is for sanitation - cleaning and flushing. I store a variable amount of cases of bottled water for drinking with the pile peaking at about 30 cases and dipping down to half of that before I buy another stacks worth.

The three 55 gallon barrels have the water pump sitting on top. I keep my spare propane and some of my gasoline in this shed too.

This, and also look into a Big Berkey water filter.

ETA: Paul, is that your neighbors fence?

No it's mine - fences off the side yards/back yards from the rest of my estate.
