My washing machine will not go through the rinse/drain cycle. Washes fine on all different settings, but when it gets to the rinse cycle it just makes a humming noise. It completes the cycle and shuts off normally, leaving me with a tub full of water and suds...anybody know how to fix this? The brand is GE.

Sounds like your timer/settings dial is roached out. I had to replace mine its not a big deal. I went to a local parts house and it took longer to drive there then to change it out. There is a site on the net that trouble shoots this stuff as well. They are a parts house on line. Try doing a search.
