Zenni is often mentioned here as a good source for online glasses. If you want to try them, now would be a good time.
EDIT: Black Friday pricing available now. Attached File Zenni Link. |

Fucking chinesium...
...he types, wearing a pair of Zennis. I hate to say it, but they're good. Once they get scratched or bent, I just order a new pair and toss the old. |

Zenni is great for spare glasses. I have a pair of expensive progressive lenses and frames that I need to use for work, but as soon as I get home I wear the $30 Zennis. I lost them for a few days and found them smashed under my car hood and all jacked up. I bent them back into shape and they’re fine. I need a new prescription soon and once I get it I’ll probably order 2 more identical pairs just to keep around the house.

Niiiice. I was just checking them out for deals. I've been super happy with them. I've gotta habe 5-6 pairs. Wife has used them too.
I've got a fairly strong prescription (+7). I decided to try their "free" mid-index lenses with a back-up pair, and they're great! Other than being slightly thicker, I don't really notice the weight difference, and the clarity is really good. I think I've tried every index except their poly-carb. I'm gonna keep ordering super cheap mid-index, at least for back-ups and sunglasses. My shopping cart is at ~$25 . These are the salad days of glasses. Stock up now before Taiwan and China start making eath other glow. |

Some American Express users have received a $10 off $50 offer for shopping at Zenni.

Rumour is that next week the sale will be ...
25% off orders totaling $80 or more. Starts Monday. 30% off orders totaling $125 or more. Starts Monday. |

Heh, I ordered a new pair a few days ago. Went from $250 for glasses to $30 for glasses.
|
|
Just ordered new glasses from them. One regular prescription, other prescription sunglasses. Just seen that they now have safety glasses.

Good for backup glasses, and if you don't ever plan on getting laid anymore.
|

They are GTG. Last time I used a local Ophthalmologist my glasses were over $500. Zenni was $89 for the same prescription.

Great glasses, for the price. I wear contacts 99.9% of the time, but use them as beaters in my gear and such.

I prefer eyebuydirect but their options for mirrored lenses are smaller

I wouldn't know but I'll take your word for it

Clear glasses are good, sunglasses will not survive one day in my hot car. My sunglasses from the optometrist can survive years in my car.

Horrible customer service in standing behind their product with only a 30 day warranty on frames. I had a pair have the coating on the outside of the frame melt and bubbles up after 4 months on sunglasses that were in my vehicle during the summer. The plastic frames can’t stand the heat.
Customer service said sorry 30 day warranty. Here’s a link to buy new frames and instructions to install me old lenses. Still cheaper than optometrist glasses but I’ve been schooled about what to expect from their product longevity. Probably should stick to metal frames only. Attached File Attached File Frames used to be a light blue. |

Ordered from them for the first time earlier this year. I like the <$10 Zenni glasses way more than the >$100 glasses I got from the eye doctor.

Love Zenni. Love anything that sticks it to flagrantly exploitative systems. Zennis are 90% less, mailed to my door. I've never had an issue. They even do sunglasses.

Quoted: I don't see (no pun intended) a connection between killer jack stands and folks spending $7-10 on $5 glasses at Zenni instead of $100+ for $5 glasses at the local eye doc's office. Maybe if he had bought glasses from Zenni, he would be able to see the spelling error in his post. |

My Wife and I use them for single vision and presc sunglasses but I've not had great satisfaction when I tried their progressive lenses.

Nice.
I'm on my second pair from them, wanted to get some with attached sunglasses. My prescription is really bad, so they're the only way to get affordable glasses. |

five pairs of titanium framed glasses for $69. That works for me.

Haha, but you gotta spend $80... my Zennis with progressive lenses cost me less than $50 to my door. I guess you'd almost need to buy multiples to benefit from this sale

I've never come close to an $80 order with them. The one's I buy are only like ten bucks each.
As someone else mentioned, don't leave their sunglasses in the car during the summer. The non-glare coating option is a big nope for me as well. |

The non-glare coating option is a big nope for me as well. View Quote What happens is that I put my $10 pair in my shirt pocket. Then I take my shirt off some times and put it on the bed or chair. Then sometimes I'll sit on it. Then 1/10 times I sit on it, the glasses break. So I go through about one pair a year. I just ordered five, but they're the titanium ones so maybe they will only break 1/20 times I sit on them. |
